VACANCY NOTICE for small works contract We need someone to clean our six bus shelters, six notice boards and ten parish benches in the village. The work involves light cleaning (brushing, dusting, wiping, polishing) of the above every other month. The facilities are between Otterbourne Hill and Sparrowgrove with short detours to Cranbourne Drive and the Recreation Ground; 6 hours per clean at £15/hour, no fixed time for work, contract will be initially for one year at £540/annum. Many thanks indeed Jan Cllr Jan Warwick Executive Member for Climate Change Hampshire County Councillor Winchester Downlands Division Dear All I am writing to let you know that Hampshire County Council has appointed Rocon Contractors Limited to carry out works to construct a Zebra Crossing and resurface the carriageway outside Nisa Local on Main Road, Otterbourne. The scheme is designed to improve pedestrian safety at a popular crossing point as requested by the County Councillor and Parish Council. The works are scheduled to start Monday 18 July 2022 until August 5 2022. Working hours will be 9:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. To maximise safety, 3-way traffic lights will be in place during construction hours. I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any disturbance that the works may cause but please be assured that we will aim to keep inconvenience to a minimum. However, it should be noted that the works are weather dependent and may need to be re-arranged at short notice in the event of adverse weather.
