Winchester City Council has been awarded an additional £2,497,180 by Government to help businesses and organisations impacted by the national restrictions in force from 5 November to 2 December 2020 and possible future restrictions. This Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) is aimed at those who are not eligible to apply for the Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG). This discretionary fund applies to those who are based in and operate from the Winchester District and who have either been mandated to close by Government, or who have suffered significant income losses during this latest period of the national restrictions. The discretionary grant will be available to organisations who were actively trading on and before 4 November 2020. They must be a micro/small or medium-sized enterprise or a supply chain business operating within one or more of the following sectors: • non-essential retail • hospitality/food and drink/guest accommodation • leisure/sports • attractions/events/festivals/entertainment venues • pre-school childcare services Businesses and organisations should refer to the eligibility policy and online declaration which is available here: www.winchester.gov.uk/business/additional-restrictions-grant Applications will close at 5pm on Monday 14 December 2020.
