Creating a Home Emergency Plan with Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Our electricity distribution network delivers power to over 3.9 million homes and businesses across the diverse and unique geographies of the north of Scotland and central southern England. We operate the electricity network in your area, keeping the lights on, TVs running, and homes heated for 3.8 million customers. We are not an energy supplier and customers do not pay their bills to us. We sometimes experience disruption caused by issues like bad weather and flooding which can lead to power cuts. We found that creating a Home Emergency Plan will help our customers and communities become more prepared and cope during short term events or until emergency responders arrive to help the situation. A Home Emergency Plan is a document to help you think carefully and plan ahead to think, what you would do in an emergency event before it happens. During this online event we will talk you through; A Home Emergency Plan, why it is important for you and your family and our additional services which can support you if a power cut was to occur. We will be holding monthly online events at a time which we hope is convenient to you. Please use the links below to register. If you have any questions or feedback on additional items you would like discussed, please contact us at [email protected] Many thanks, SSEN Distribution October Event Details Date: Tuesday 10th October from 11:00 to 12:00 Location: Microsoft Teams Please click here to register December Event Details Date: Monday 4th December from 13:00 to 14:00 Location: Microsoft Teams Please click here to register Comments are closed.
